Here at Side by Side we get the opportunity to connect with amazing youth every day. Often we witness some tremendous transformations in youth because at Side by Side they've found a community, affirmation, and a place where they belong.
It can be hard to describe the work we do, so we recently sat down with
Ali and Will along with their families to ask how Side by Side has helped them on their journeys.

It's prom season and Side by Side is gearing up for our annual Alternative Prom. This year's theme is
Over the Rainbow, a mash-up of the Wizard of Oz and The Wiz and will take place on
Saturday, May 22nd 7pm-11pm at the First UU Church of Richmond (1000 Blanton Ave).
This fabulous event is planned by our
YEL (Youth Engaged in Leadership) group and will feature a lip sync contest, photo features, and dancing all night long!
Please help us spread the word about this event, which is open to all youth ages 14-20 with ID and $5 at the door!
