SUNY Adirondack's Wing Roberts Collection

SUNY Adirondack Library's Hill Collection received the contents of the Wing/Roberts collection from Kit Cornell, a seventh-generation descendant of Abraham Wing, founder of the village of Glens Falls, in August of 2015. The collection contains documents, letters, transcripts, photographs and glass plate negatives related to the Wing/Roberts Family of Glens Falls, NY.
New York Heritage Digital Collections is a research portal for students, educators, historians, genealogists, and everyone else interested in the people, places and institutions of historical New York State.
So far, CDLC members have added over 23,000 items to the database.

Union College to Receive Conservation Treatment Grant
The Greater Hudson Heritage Network grants are awarded for prioritized, urgently needed conservation of objects that, once treated, will impact public interpretive programs, exhibitions and education.

UAlbany Librarian Wins Award
Karen Kiorpes,
Preservation Librarian at University
at Albany, is the recipient of the 2017
Paul Banks and Carolyn Harris Preservation Award. This award is given annually by the
Preservation and Reformatting Section (PARS) of the
Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS).
Kiorpes' consistent leadership, service, advocacy and dedication to preservation education embodies the qualities of the Banks Harris Award.
In their letters of support, colleagues repeatedly describe her as a "tireless advocate" and an energetic and welcoming leader.
