DEG Estimating Tip: Ability to Override Labor Category When Doing a Frame Replacement
All three estimating systems, Audatex, CCC and Mitchell, allow the user to manually override the labor type category when doing a frame replacement on a full frame vehicle.
Example: If the user wants to charge "MECHANICAL" on the Frame Replacement Labor, Mitchell and Audatex allow you to choose from the drop down menu "Mechanical" in the labor type column. In CCC, the user would need to code the labor line as "M" on the right side of the labor column.
The estimating databases are all intended to be used as a GUIDE ONLY - it is important to remember that the auto body professional performing the repair is in a position to thoroughly inspect, diagnose and identify the methodology and their unique cost of the vehicle damage repair.
