Wine/Beer Garden - provided by: Woodinville Wine Country, Cairn Brewing, Foggy Noggin' Brewing, Goose Ridge Winery!  Free admittance. Food, beer/wine available for purchase.

In recognition and gratitude for the amazing support the Bothell community provided to those affected by the downtown fire last year we invite everyone to this community event.  Come meet Bothell's first responders, Main Street business owners, city leaders and staff, and see and hear updates on the rebuilding process, as well as the UW Bothell Nursing Student Program Project on the Impact of the Fire.

Extra parking will be available at the City Hall Garage (100 spaces), and in the new lot in front of Baskin & Robbins.  This event is organized in partnership by the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce, Northshore Rotary and City Of Bothell.

Chamber members have been challenged to collect 100 spiral notebooks!

Backpacks for Kids
  
You can help the more than 1000 families in need in our  Northshore School District by donating much needed school supplies, volunteering or making a financial donation. You can help assure all students start the school year with the supplies they need to be prepared to learn by donating at the district office or at the Chamber's office in Country Village Shops.

Most needed items:
* Backpacks
* 3 ring binders  2" and 3"
* Markers
* Post-it Notes
* Sharpies
* Graph paper

The Backpacks for Kids Campaign, through the Northshore Schools Foundation, is working to distribute over 2,000 filled backpacks to Northshore School District Students preschool through grade 12.

Downtown Redevelopment: What's the Next Phase?

Kenmore's downtown revitalization is well underway, with new private sector investment in what was formerly known as Kenmore Village approaching $100 million since 2014.

The LINQ building is nearing completion, with EvergreenHealth clinic, including 7-day-a-week urgent care, to open this fall.  The Kenmore Town Square is complete, and the new Hangar community building is expected to open in August after Diva Espresso completes their interior tenant improvements. A grand opening celebration for the Town Square and Hangar is scheduled on Saturday, August 26 from 5:00 to 9:00pm.  What's Next?

The Proclamation was read and given to members of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Park Foundation members recently by the Mayor. Decibel Brewing Hosts North Sound Artist Collective

Decibel Brewing in Bothell is hosting the North Sound Artist Collective (NSAC) which brings art and artists into local communities. This free-to-the-public event features local artists, music and artwork. 

Wander on in, and wonder in delightful display of artwork by local artists. Select artists will have their artwork for sale.  Bring a friend and come meet, mix and mingle with local artists. Decibel will have beer on tap and other refreshments for sale.

Parking is available but please read all signage before parking. Decibel Brewing is a kid- and dog-friendly venue.

You're invited to a "Night Out for Kindering" at McMenamins Anderson School.  Bring a friend and join the community for a fantastic evening of wine and bites in support of Kindering and their mission to provide hope, courage and the skills to soar for children with special needs and their families.   Guests will enjoy an evening of delight with exclusive wine and beer tastings and paired heavy appetizers in a casual summer-party atmosphere. 

Kindering is a nonprofit with offices in Bothell and Bellevue that provides services for children from birth to 3 years old who have special needs.  This event is being produced with support from Forever Events Wedding & Event Coordination.

Join fellow supporters for a low-key evening to meet like-minded neighbors.  Taking place in a donated space, the Inglewood Golf Club, you'll also be able to take your chance on raffle items including a night at McMenamins Anderson School, a sightseeing adventure with Kenmore Air, a custom necklace in BHS colors, and more.

Otherwise, enjoy appetizers (thanks to Hillcrest Bakery and Uncle Peteza's Pizzeria as this goes to press), Foggy Noggin' Brewing's For a Beer or a Lifetime brew, a no-host bar, and discover the Bothell connections of those in attendance! What's your favorite Bothell memory or connection? Share them with fellow supporters on July 14!  A HUGE thanks to those who have already donated to the fund via Banner Bank's NRF ( Northshore Rotary Foundation) account for the sign.  Let's call it a wrap on Friday.

Nominate A Small Business For King Country Executive's Annual Awards
Nominations Accepted Through July 26, 2017

Honor and recognize small businesses for their contributions to the King County economy by casting your nominations for King County Executive's Seventh Annual Small Business Awards.
 
This program celebrates the importance and accomplishments of small businesses, throughout King County, in the following categories: Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, Exporting, Green/Sustainable, Workforce Development, Rural, and the overall Small Business of the Year.
 
To be eligible for nomination, businesses must be located in King County, have 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, and have been in business for at least three years. Previous winners and finalists are ineligible for nomination.
