Linda Carleton is launching her novel "Elmina's Fire" here at St. Luke's on Thursday, June 22, from 6-7 pm in the Chapel. It is written as the spiritual memoir of a young women wrestling with the conflicting beliefs of the medieval Church and the gnostic Cathars, her complicity in the horror of the Albigensian Crusade, and her own demons. Linda will talk about the period and how she came to write her book, read a few excerpts, and sign books for anyone who would like to get one. There will be refreshments and medieval music.
