Mission
Our mission is to govern consistently with the Declaration and Protective Covenants, to assure the viability of Hot Springs Village by establishing and managing goals and objectives, and to ensure that the voice of the property owner is represented.
Vision
Hot Springs Village, a gated community nestled in the Ouachita Mountains, offers a welcoming, dynamic lifestyle with first class amenities, providing a variety of activities for all ages.
Thank you for participating in the pool roundtables this week, a resounding success with fantastic brainstorming among neighbors! More than 100 property owners participated, including several on our first conference call option for those unable to make the in-person sessions. This option was suggested by a property owner who lives in Texas, demonstrating the tremendous value of our collective efforts, a cornerstone of these round table sessions. Numerous attendees remarked about the great opportunity to brainstorm and share ideas with the Board and staff, generate excitement and pride of ownership, and their appreciation for playing a pivotal role in the planning.

11 questions (Click here for the agenda) were asked ranging from whether attendees support or oppose constructing an outside pool; how the construction should be funded; whether the pool should have an extended season; and the pros and cons of having lifeguards. At the end of the session, the floor was opened to the audience for their thoughts and questions. Many brought pictures of their desired pool designs, which will be helpful to the Recreation Committee's next steps.

Now, what happens next? Once the notes are consolidated, the information will be given to the Director of Recreation to be shared with the Recreation Committee and discussed in their upcoming meetings.  These public meetings are another opportunity for property owners to share comments. Once the committee finishes their review, they will formulate a proposed course of action, funding method, and timeline to the CEO and COO who will present a final recommendation to the Board for approval. The overall goal is a prudent solution that makes possible a 2018 season pool opening.

Another superb golf event is underway this week at one of our premier Hot Springs Village Courses. The Desoto Golf Club is hosting the Arkansas State Amateur Championship (ASGA) through tomorrow. Thank you to the golf staff and Chef Johnna's staff for their hard work on this prestigious tournament, which is open to four divisions of male amateur ASGA golfers: Young-Amateur; Senior 40+; 54+ Mid-Senior and Super-Senior, 64 years and older.

Another fantastic week - never a dull moment when you visit or live in Hot Spring Village!
