7K Run to Remember

Join us this Saturday April 23, 2016 at 8:30 am for the 7K Run or 1 Mile Walk, which will be held at the beautiful Centennial Lake in Ellicott City. Presented by the Maryland State Attorneys' Association, in conjunction with National Crime Victims' Rights Week, proceeds from the race will benefit the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence. Prizes and refreshments will be provided. Check out our Virtual 7k option and pledge to run the distance!

Taking "Paws": Working with Survivors of Domestic Violence who have Service Animals

This training will focus on improving services for domestic violence survivors who have service animals.  By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
  • Describe the roles and purposes of service animals
  • Describe the Maryland and federal laws that pertain to accommodations for people with disabilities and in particular people with service animals
  • Identify practical ways to accommodate, protect, and respond to service animals
  • Use best practices for serving survivors with service animals
  • Identify safety planning strategies for survivors with services animals.

MNADV's statewide conference, Inform. Empower. Advocate. Working to End Domestic Violence in Maryland, will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm at the DoubleTree at Hilton in Annapolis. A national keynote speaker will be featured and attendees can choose from 18 unique workshops that will be offered in three workshop sessions. Registration ends May 2, 2016. The first 150 people who register will be entered to win a gift basket!
