  • Saturday, August 19, 10 a.m. ‐ 12:30 p.m. at Castaldo Park, 3024 71st Street, Woodridge 

This family friendly inclusive walk and picnic includes a live sing-a-long, Chick-Fil-A lunch and a hat or t-shirt. Walk in person or "virtually" and collect pledges online. Come solo, as a family, or a group.
Stewardship Workshop
By request, this workshop is being repeated. Based on a commercially available stewardship product, it will provide everything a congregation’s stewardship team needs to present an effective annual stewardship campaign: letters, newsletter and bulletin materials, Bible study, sermon preparation aids, minute messages, print materials, etc.
The presenter is Rev. Mark Bussert, Director of Stewardship at three NID congregations.

Date and Location: Saturday, August 5, 9 a.m.to 1 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 18N377 Galligan Road, Dundee. TLC Community Clinic

Trinity Lutheran Church will hold its annual Community Clinic Saturday, September 30, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in its school at 11503 German Church Road, Burr Ridge. This free clinic provides help for those in need including medical/dental screenings, haircuts, winter coats, pregnancy counseling and healing prayer. Print flyer in English, in Spanish
Volunteer at Free Clinic
The Saturday, September 17, free community clinic of Trinity Lutheran Church, Burr Ridge (held in their school building at 11503 German Church Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) welcomes volunteers and donations. People from neighborhoods in need in Lemont, Woodridge, and other areas will come to Trinity for medical and dental screenings, household supplies, winter coats, flu shots, pregnancy counseling, hair cuts and other personal needs--all provided by volunteer professionals and helpers. Volunteers also help set up, host guests throughout the day and tear down after 2 p.m. If you are interested in donating or helping out, call 708-839-1200.
CPS Town Hall Meetings
Concordia Plan Town Hall Meetings are being held for all NID LCMS churches and service organizations. The Town Hall Meetings will give an overview of Concordia Plan Services and review benefits, tools and resources, programs, services, funding strategies and possible ACA changes.

59th Convention of the District - Updates
The convention is Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, 2018, at Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest.

Congregational nominations for president and vice president must be in by September 30.
Delegate selection has begun. The convention delegates are one called pastor and one lay member selected by each district congregation. Congregations are asked to complete this process by September 30, if possible. 

Convention exhibitor information has been emailed to all approved exhibitors. If you would like to be a convention exhibitor, please use the form below to submit a reservation request. Forms are due by December 1. Payment is required to secure your reservation.
