From Downtown Richmond, to Pinole Creek, to the historic Waterfront, much to do in West County!
Summer has lots of great community events!

Help clean Pinole Creek, attend Downtown Richmond's biggest annual music festival, and celebrate the rich history of Richmond's shipyards while helping set the World Record (again!) for most Rosie the Riveters gathered in one place. 

Here are the details of these fun events: 

WHAT: Community Cleanup of Pinole Creek 

WHEN: Saturday, August 12, 9:00 am to noon 

WHERE:  Bear Creek Rd. at Alhambra Valley Rd., Pinole 

MORE: Meet at the gate located on Alhambra Valley Road. Please arrive at 9:00 am, as there is restricted access to the site. After clean up, enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch.

WHAT: 16th annual Richmond Music on the Main 
 
WHEN: Wednesday, July 26, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm & Wednesday, August 23, 5 pm to 7:30 pm

WHERE: Marina Way and Macdonald Avenue, Downtown Richmond

MORE: Live music, food, and fun for the entire family.

WHAT: Rosie's Riveting Celebrations

WHEN: Saturday, August 12, 10 am to 4 pm

WHERE: Craneway Pavilion, 1414 Harbour Way South, and  SS Red Oak Victory on  Canal Boulevard,  Richmond

MORE: Concurrent events, with shuttles linking the two sites. First, show up at 10:00 am at the Craneway Pavilion, in Rosie costume, to check in and help set a new World Record. Details here. Then  Celebrate the  awe-inspiring history of the Richmond Shipyards.  Enjoy  World War II military and civilian reenactments, classic vehicles, 1940s music, and an All-American hot dog stand.  You can also tour the SS Red Oak Victory, the last surviving ship built at the Richmond Kaiser Shipyards.
