Urgent! Tell USDA Don't Make it Harder to Get CalFresh if You Lose Your Job

Nearly half a million California adults without children need CalFresh to put food on the table while they are in-between jobs.  USDA has requested public comments on whether it should reconsider certain rules regarding the SNAP/CalFresh three-month time limit for these  adults not raising minor children . Before making any changes, USDA is asking the public to tell them if reworking these rules is a good idea. We need your help to submit lots of comments from a wide variety of voices urging USDA to not restrict waivers or pursue any other changes that would cut off vital food assistance for people in-between jobs.

Don't wait! Comments are due April 9th!

Here is how you can make your voice heard to prevent the administration from making the already harsh SNAP/CalFresh three-month time limit rule even worse.
  • Once you customize the template, you can paste your comments into the online submission tool. link
  • For individuals, our partners at Feeding America have put together a shorter template that's easy to submit. link
Thank you for lending your voice!
