From our PTA President

Hi Everyone,

DISC had WHS students from Leadership Challenge come over to speak to the 5th and 6th graders about service and leadership. They took questions and individually spoke about how leadership has helped them in and outside of school. We also had founder of Footpath Foundation, Mary Macias, speak about her organization and the students painted encouragement rocks or the underprivileged children who are able to attend camps thanks to Footpath. Thank you WHS Students and Mary Macias!!!

Westlake Music Boosters!

Westlake Music Boosters is looking forward to Music a la Mode which will be held on Saturday, May 12th this year!  For many years, we have offered a raffle that raises significant funds to support ALL music programs in the Westlake City Schools from grades K-12
.
Right now, we are working to gather items and we hope you will help! Themed gift baskets are welcome!  We know it's not always possible to put together a whole gift basket, so perhaps you can contribute by donating a gift card to an area business or an individual item that kids or an adult would enjoy such as a game, toy, craft, or jewelry.  Sport items or tickets are always a big hit as well. Previous year's basket themes include Cleveland Sports, movie night, craft kits, yoga, games, picnic basket, grilling items, summer fun, and more. Maybe you have unopened Christmas gifts in your closets that would make great donations for the raffle!   If you have a basket, gift card or item to donate, please contact Amy Mogyordy at  216-402-7318 or amy@madisoneyecare.com. Items will be collected through the end of April.

Be sure to check out the MALM schedule to plan your day

And don't forget to join us at our next meeting: Wednesday, April 11th at 7pm in the WHS Library.
