Wharton County Junior College officials recently expressed their gratitude to the donors and benefactors who have made it possible for countless students to pursue higher education. During the recent Friends of the College Appreciation Dinner - held on the Wharton campus - area businesses, foundations and individual patrons were recognized for providing scholarships, equipment and funding programs. Currently, there are around 67 scholarships available. "It is difficult to measure the positive impact these scholarships have made on our students," said WCJC President Betty McCrohan. "Without this financial assistance, many students would simply be unable to pursue higher education."
