We Made a SPLASH at Coastal Camp Seale Harris!
Coastal Camp Seale Harris wrapped up our summer full of diabetes camps across Alabama in beautiful Mobile, AL the last week of July. Campers enjoyed activities such as: fishing, boating, swimming, ropes course, and horseback riding! Volunteer staff from USA Children's & Women's and Nemours Pensacola stayed all week long making sure campers were safe and well taken care of.

Olympic Skier and Lilly Diabetes Representative Kris Freeman spoke to the campers about how to achieve their dreams no matter what obstacles might come their way. Kris spent the day enjoying activities with campers such as archery, basketball and horseback. Kris is competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics this year - we will be cheering him on!

Team Novo Nordisk Runner Stephen England spoke to the campers about his journey with Type 1 Diabetes and how it has taken him to where he is today. Stephen made sure to answer each campers question and give them encouragement for their future. He recently competed in the Fat Dog 120 where he says he ran for "all of the cool #T1D kids" he met at Camp Seale Harris! Thanks for running for us and continuing to advocate for T1D, Stephen!

Lions Clubs from across South Alabama traveled to Coastal Camp Seale Harris to serve our campers delicious meals such as: chicken & mashed potatoes, BBQ and hamburgers! Campers look forward to the nights that the Lions come and cook for them and we are so appreciative for all that the Lions do for Camp Seale Harris.

Diabetes WALK for Camp Seale Harris
and for their acheivements throughout their week at camp at the Coastal CSH parent program.
What some parents missed was what top WALK fundraisers had the honor of doing - Soaking the Counselor! This is one of the highlights of our
campers fundraising journeys.
