RBC Children's Ministry
  • Starting 8/16, Wednesday evenings will be full of fun and growing experiences for all children through Angel Choirs and RBC’s Kid’s Club.  Terran Greer and Shannon Burns will be conducting two Angel choirs for our children.  
  • Each Choir will practice for approximately 20 minutes and then the children will experience RBC Kid’s Club for preschoolers or for school-age children.

Jessie's Place
Sunday, AUGUST 20, we need volunteers to bring a food item with you when you come to church and place in the kitchen, by 11:30am. Have your dish labeled and in an oven safe or microwave safe disposable container.  You can also contribute cash to go towards the purchase of food.
Call Shannon Burns at 527-4827 if you can help and/or would like to serve on Monday August 21st.
Moses - A Six Week Study 

On August 20th The Christ and Culture Sunday School Class (Library) will begin a 6 week study on the life of Moses, examining his failures and his successes as God guided him to become the Biblical hero we remember today. Adam Hamilton’s book Moses: In the Footsteps of the Reluctant Prophet will serve as the guide for this study. This class is open to all.
The Shelby Baptist Association is having it's 2017 Christmas Gift Shop Banquet, August 24, 6:30pm at 1st Baptist Columbiana. It's $5/person & Reservations are due by this Friday, 8/18 #669-7858.

Blood Drive  
A LifeSouth Blood Drive will be Sunday, August 27 at 8:30am. A light breakfast will be provided for those who donate There will be a sign-up sheet located in the Foyer this Sunday.

Personal Evangelism
Personal Evangelism Training class will be offered at two different times: chose the option best for you or mix and match days. 
  • Sundays, 7/30 - 9/10 in Sermon Series Class 9:30am (skipping 8/13 and 9/3)
  • Wednesdays, 9/16 - 9/20 in Grow Groups 
  • If you have to miss a session there is an option to catch up on a different day.
  • We will be using the book, More to Life, Engaging Through Story by Dennis Pethers,  as a guide for our testimony class.  You can purchase it at Lifeway in Hoover -- contact Cathy Benton.

Prayer Time
Tuesdays in the Prayer Room at 10am.  
This week’s prayer focus:

JEFF BEISEL. PICKERINGTON, OHIO. Jeff is a church planter serving at Maranatha Community Church, where they are about to lease a building. Pray for more people to join the fellowship, both non-believers and believers. Pray that relationship building thrives as the community has greater access to the church and building. Pray also for morning gatherings and youth ministries. Pray this allows many people to come and worship Jesus Christ.
