Council to vote on accepting funding for roads near Toledo Assembly Complex

During their meeting today at 4:00 pm, Toledo City Council is expected to vote on Ordinance 283-17 which would authorize the City to accept and spend $2,400,000 in grant funding from the Ohio Development Services Agency for the resurfacing and reconstruction of portions of Chrysler Drive and Expressway Drive. The funding is part of economic development efforts aimed at retaining production at FCA's Toledo Assembly Complex.

New Member Spotlight: CrossFit Lifesport

Barry Williamson retired in January 2017 after a 20 year career in the United States Navy. He discovered the CrossFit lifestyle four years ago and bought CrossFit LifeSport on Douglas Road in Toledo early this year. With two additional coaches, Barry and his staff are committed to helping others find their full fitness potential. "I love to see when people achieve more than they thought their body could do," says Barry.

Colleen Kardasz, Director of the Ohio SBDC Export Assistance Network, recently attended a conference that helped open the door for businesses in the Toledo Region to sell their goods and services in the Chinese market.

New Member Spotlight: Advance Auto Parts

As Advance Auto Parts continued to grow as a company, they saw great potential in Toledo. In 2008 they opened their first location on Reynolds Road and have since opened four stores. On July 13th, 2017 the company will open their fifth location in the area.
