Our Mission...

The Memorial Tabernacle Church has come together by the Holy Spirit for the specific purpose of preaching and teaching the word of God, (the Bible), and about Jesus Christ, God's son, and to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the North Oakland Community and its environs; to bring healing to the brokenhearted and deliverance to the oppressed.

Update On Ministry Activities

Due to the church convention in Texas, back-to-school preparations, and final vacations before school starts, our normal services and classes are cancelled August 14th to August 18th. This would include:

Conversational Bible Study w/ the Pastor (Tues, 08/15)
Thirst-Day Prayer (Thurs, 08/17)

Sunday School, 9:15AM in the VIP Room

Morning Worship Service, 10:30AM in the sanctuary. Speaker: Elder Jeanette Wortz

Youth Going Green Meetup, 3:00-5:00PM in the fellowship hall. We are calling all young people ages 8 to 17 with an interest in helping the environment and promoting the 3Rs in our region.

Youth Going Green Membership Recruitment

Sunday, August 20, 3:00-5:00PM

Under the leadership of Sister Nuvia, Youth Going Green aims to reach 1000 young people before the end of the year to expose them to recycling and waste reducti on and invite them to become members of our national known youth recycling program. DASH (Diabetes and Sports Health) Camp for Ages 6-18

August 19 & 20 at Bushrod Park in Oakland

DASH runs diabetes education activities throughout the year to ensure consistent and robust growth of positive diabetes identities. Each activity includes some type of sports and physical component that is connected to our culturally competent DASH curriculum. Register for the camp at http://dashcamp.org/ .

"A Better You" is a free health and wellness event for African American Seniors and their caregivers, coming to the Oakland Museum of California - Saturday, August 26th.
