Hawkeye 105mm Firing Exercises

The Hawkeye is on the move! We recently performed some firing exercises at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, in April and it was a great success. Firing included direct and indirect scenarios and we have some great pictures and new video on our website on the Hawkeye page. We will also be doing some additional firing exercises at Camp Atterbury where some international customers plan on attending. We will also be performing some firing exercises at Ft. Sill, OK; and Ft. Campbell this year. More information to follow.

Mandus Group Receives Order for its MG1100 Nitrogen Generators for Canada

MG1100
Mandus Group, teaming with Kaycom, has received an order for and recently delivered six MG1100 Nitrogen Generators to the Canadian Department of Defence. The MG1100 allows users of bottled nitrogen to produce their own supply and avoid the logistical problem of finding a supplier out in the field. This is great for filling equilibrators and recuperators!! Click here for more information about our Nitrogen Generators.

Ready...Set...Go!!

For the past three years, Mandus Group has used the Hawkeye Howitzer as the official race starter of the Quad City Times Bix 7. The Bix is a 7 mile run that includes Brady Street hill which is a 7 to 9% grade (or 4 to 5 degrees) that is one third of a mile. Mandus designed an insert for the bore of the 105mm cannon that accommodates an 8-gauge shotgun blank to fire the cannon and send over 15,000 participants off and running. Click here for a recent Quad City Times article on Mandus Group and the Bix.
