Portside Furniture Flips

Ann started Portside Furniture Flips as a home business taking old furniture and making them "new" again. Her journey began as a part-time business while she raised her children and has evolved into a creative outlet that challenges her to learn and grow while also allowing her to transform spaces for her clients.

There are so many wonderful ways to repurpose traditional and vintage pieces and give them new life in a modern home. Portside has created many beautiful pieces from side tables to dressers and dining chairs. As part of the process of breathing fresh life into the pieces that she creates, she has learned the upholstery trade, working with clients to reupholster heirloom furniture, as well as making custom pillows, outdoor cushions and slipcovers.

Through Ann's relationships with several fabric houses, she can provide a wide variety of choices to clients, so that they can get that custom, one-of-a-kind look. At Portside Furniture Flips, she can completely transform your piece or update it. Whether you like the traditional look or want to transform a vintage piece of furniture into a new, functional piece, she can make that old piece your new go-to reading chair or the focal point of your room.

Good Oral Health
And  The Benefits To Your Overall Health

By Jackie - Dental Hygienist at Parker River Dental

There are many studies on how good oral hygiene can prevent tooth loss, gum disease, bad breath and tooth decay, but did you know it can also be the key to your overall health.

So what does the health of your mouth have to do with your overall health? Well, the answer is more than you think! A healthy mouth can decrease your risk of many medical disorders, but an unhealthy mouth, may increase your risk of many serious health problems.  Not only can chronic gum disease increase the risk of these health problems, but these health problems can also increase the risk of periodontal disease. They go hand in hand with each other, which is why it is so important to take care of yourself and your oral health.
