From Mrs. DiTommaso ([email protected]):

Dear St. Ignatius Families:
I hope that you have enjoyed a time for rest and relaxation over the summer break. I cannot believe that we are in the middle of the last week of July.
We have been very busy with many changes to our school environment during your time away. Some of the changes are:
  1. The Main Office space has been swapped with the nurse's room to allow for better service to our families.
  2. The faculty room has been moved to the old chapel to allow for the setup of the STREAM Room/Maker Space.
  3. The Catapult classes will now be upstairs in the rooms outside of the Art/Music room.
  4. To allow room for the second third grade, Mrs. Ginter's, class will now be on the first floor in the PreK-4B room. (Mrs. Beckett)
  5. Mrs. Beckett will move back to her old room across the hall.
  6. Thank you for helping us to win the permanent step stools for the bathrooms in the new wing. These will help our Pre-K students to better be able to reach the sinks.
  7. We have a new person in charge of all maintenance. His name is Victor Rosario and will be on the campus each day to take care of the facilities.
  8. I am pleased to note that I have hired a new third grade teacher. Her name is Miss Nicole Barker. She comes to us with three years teaching experience from Goodnoe Elementary School. Please be sure to greet her with a warm St. Ignatius welcome.
  9. I have not been able to hire a music teacher as of today but am working diligently to find a replacement for Mrs. Schauder, who due to personal reasons had to leave us at the end of the year.
C:\Users\St. Ignatius\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\HEGEGV2M\xarxes_socials_4[1].gif Circle the dates! Wednesday, August 16 th at 6:30pm will bring together all the Kindergarten Families to meet and greet each other.
Thursday, August 17 th at 6:30pm we will gather all the Pre K 3 and Pre K 4 families to meet and greet each other.
The faculty and staff look forward to sharing these fun nights with our families.
C:\Users\St. Ignatius\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\5W4LNZ6W\school1[1].JPG Registration for the coming school year remains open. Remind your friends and neighbors that time is ticking away. Pre K space is limited for anyone interested. Call 215-493-3867 for more information. The office is open each day from 10:00 to 2:00.
C:\Users\St. Ignatius\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\8892391Q\assessment[1].gif The Terra Nova written reports are still not available. They are due in by the end of August. We will send them home with the students once school begins.
May your coming week be full of God's many blessings.
Mrs. DiTommaso
From Mr. Merrick ([email protected]):

Dear St. Ignatius Families,

I hope that you are all having a safe and enjoyable summer. Thank you all for your support in the Step 'N Wash Facebook contest; the two stools arrived today and will be a great addition to our school.

I am pleased to announce that, as of today, we now have the ability to accept credit & debit cards as well as ACH payments for OptionC Student Accounts through our Parish Giving Online system.

To make a payment, click here. If you already have an electronic Parish Giving Online account, you will be prompted to log-in. If you do not have an account and do not wish to create one, you can choose to make a payment without an account. The payment link will also be posted on the school website as well as included in your monthly statement.

The Parish Giving Online system is a convenient way to also make your parish contributions; click here for more information.

We are working diligently here at school to prepare the building and all of our resources (including 200 Chromebooks and 80 iPads) for an outstanding 2017-2018 school year. Over the next few weeks, I will be sending out more information about CARES, our technology initiatives, and OptionC credentials for our new families. In the meantime, I hope that you all have a great week!
