Greetings,
We hope that everyone is having a good summer!
June started with our Open Studio Night with guest artist Matthew Patterson. Matthew was one of our first glass blowing instructors, and helped us to create our new donation "jar". Images from the evening can be seen
HERE.
Our Artistic Director, Tatara Siegel, led a group of high school students from Paschal
utilizing glass as a foundation while working on traditional painting and drawing techniques by emphasizing the importance of incorporating narrative concepts into each piece.
The class culminated in a gallery show at Gallery 76102. Images from the class and show can be seen
HERE.
We had the privilege of having guest kiln forming artist Nathan Sandberg teaching a week long workshop. It was an excellent class focusing on creating murrini from the kilns. At the conclusion of the class we held a meet and greet with Nathan, and showcased the students work from the week. Images from can be seen
HERE.
We are quickly approaching the end of our glass blowing season. The furnace will be shut down on July 15th and we will celebrate with our annual Ice Cream Social. We will have sandcasting Walkup Workshops and ice cream from Melt Ice Creams. We are also holding our summer fundraiser. All the info can be found below. We hope you can join us!
Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to seeing you soon.
