VALLEY RANCH BACKPACK DRIVE
PICK UP YOUR BACKPACK THIS SUNDAY!

Each year during VRBC's Valley Ranch Backpack Drive, we fill and deliver two hundred backpacks overflowing with school supplies to some of our neighboring children at Tom Landry Elementary School and the surrounding area who need assistance. We are able to do this by the church providing the backpacks, and the congregation providing the school supplies.

Empty backpacks will be available for pick-up in the church lobby after the worship service on Sunday, July 30. A school supply list will be enclosed. (Feel free to pick-up and fill as many backpacks as you would like!)

Please return filled backpacks on Sunday, August 6, if possible. If necessary, backpacks may be returned through Sunday, August 13. You may also drop off backpacks at the church office any time during normal business hours. We will pray over the backpacks during the worship service on August 20.

"ROOTED" SUMMER TEACHING SERIES
CONTINUES THIS SUNDAY!

"Biblically Rooted" is one of VRBC's core values--we want everything we do, both personally and collectively, to be "rooted" in God's Word. Just as the roots of a tree provide stability and nourishment, we believe being rooted in Scripture helps us stay firmly planted where God wants us. By sinking our roots down deep into God's Word, we can grow into the people He wants us to be.

"Rooted" will be a four-week sermon series, and just like in past years, it promises to be a summer favorite! As before, we'll focus on a specific passage of Scripture that provides spiritual stability and nourishment, and we'll be challenged to memorize a portion of that Scripture. Join us as we commit together to be more biblically rooted!
SERVE ON THE WELCOME TEAM!

Would you consider serving one week per month on the VRBC Welcome Team? This team of volunteers ensures that every person who comes to VRBC on a Sunday morning has a great experience, beginning with the moment they drive into the parking lot. The first word of our mission statement is inviting, and this team helps us create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone who attends VRBC. 
 
We are  expanding  the Welcome Team for this fall and have many new openings for people to serve. We have opportunities for volunteers in the parking lot, at both church entrances, in the lobby, at the Welcome Center, at the kids' check-in area, in our Hospitality (breakfast) Ministry, and in the Sanctuary.
