Bridging Journeys
Within a community where you are known and comfortable, you might not have to make many, if any, personal changes. But those communities can become isolated bubbles. What personal journeys might you have to take in order to be open to the new?
Rita Capezzi is in her third and final year of seminary at Meadville Lombard Theological School, is a candidate for Ministry with the UUA, and serves as a ministerial intern at the UU Church of Canandaigua (supervised by Rev. Joel!). In a former life, Rita was an English professor at Canisius College in Buffalo.
This service features thematic music by Rita's daughter, Helen Lowry, a graduate of SUNY Fredonia and alto soloist and section leader at Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo, NY. Helen is accompanied by Paul Zanolli, a professor of Mathematics at Erie Community College, member of the Buffalo church's Music Ministry Team, and an accomplished musician on more than one instrument.
