Early Release Due to Eclipse
Monday, August 21, 2017
MP to Follow Altered Schedule on August 21st

Since 6th and 7th periods are affected by pep rallies, CHAMP, and assemblies, we decided to attend those periods on this day (especially since the Jackson pep rally is on  Friday Aug 25). We will attend the periods in descending order and go to our natural 5th lunch period.

Below is the schedule we will follow:

8:00-8:50  7th period
8:55-9:45  6th period
9:50-11:45 5th period
     1st Lunch  9:50-10:22
     2nd Lunch  10:27-10:54
     3rd Lunch  11:00-11:27

11:27 3rd lunch students report back to 5th period
11:32 Annoucements
11:45 Dismissal

The Freshmen campus will dismiss at  11:35am. Mrs. Alford will adjust these times to match the FC dismissal (freshmen will still attend 7th, 6th, and 5th with 2 lunch periods).

MOWR or WBL students will need to attend their MOWR classes or WBL assignments based on what this schedule is. For example, if you have no 6th or 7th period, you will not need to report until  9:45 a.m. If you do not have 5th, 6th, or 7th, then you will not have to report at all. Remember, if students are absent from school or check out before early release on this date due to the eclipse, the absences will be unexcused; however, we will allow students to make up any assignments missed on this date.

This week students in Mr. Simmons' class have been working on getting set up in our Classroom Economy, which includes applying for jobs and emailing teachers for recommendations. This economy will be the basis for the way the class operates for the rest of the year as they earn money and pay their bills like rent for their desks.
