2017 Disability Pride March

On Wednesday, July 26th over 100 people participated in Cincinnati's second Disability Pride March. This celebration of the 27th anniversary of the ADA promoted change in the way people think of and define disability.

Transportation Challenges for Ohioans with Disabilities

Results of the open, online survey of Ohioans with
disabilities, transportation providers, and professionals serving these populations has been released and identifies transportation as the #1 u nmet need of people with disabilities in Ohio.

Hamilton County Renter Accessibility Program

The Hamilton County Renter Accessibility Program provides modifications to rental units to make them accessible for persons with disabilities. Typical modifications include wheelchair ramps, widening of sidewalks and removal of physical barriers. Approved applicants can receive modifications that cost up to $7,500 per building. Summer Program for Youth wraps up 5th Year

Our fifth year for our YOLO Summer Program comes to a close this week. For the past eight weeks students have had a visits from a variety of presenters on topics such as recycling, exploring employment and managing money; participated in a Youth Photo Project, traveled into the community on field trips and so much more. This summer's program will be wrapping up on Friday August 4th with  YOLO's Got Talent, awards and refreshments.
