The City of Marion's Open for Business program is here to support the business community to:
  • Be your first point of contact at the City of Marion
  • Provide local business support services through the Tonsley Small Business Advisory Service and the Southern Adelaide Business Support Ecosystem
  • Connect you with local businesses, skilled people, associations and training providers
  • Offer networking and information
  • Work with partners to deliver local initiatives such as Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board, Visitor Economy, Digital literacy projects and Workforce Development
  • Activate our two business hubs - the Cove Business Hub and Tonsley Innovation District, and
  • Advocate on regional issues.
Digital Expo @ Cove Civic Centre

Find out how to get most out of new technology for your business at Find Your Place in the Digital Space on Tuesday 29 August from 3pm. 

Join the Hallett Cove Business Association and nbn co. in exploring innovative business technology  whilst hearing from community and technology industry leaders. The afternoon will feature presentations and workshops with networking opportunities to connect with business leaders and owners.

7 Days in Marion
 
Local businesses can promote their services for free on a new website targeting the 18 million people who visit Marion each year.
 
7 Days in Marion seeks to lift the profile of the city and drive visitors to businesses with an easy to follow activity guide.
 
The website includes a map highlighting local attractions and profiles more than 70 businesses under the themes of Eat, Play, Shop, Stay.
 
Marion's visitor economy is worth more than $16 billion per annum and includes shops, cafes, hotels and sports facilities.

Future Jobs Fund - Grants for businesses
 
Are you looking to grow your business with additional jobs? To support the development of globally competitive industries and industrial capabilities within South Australia, the State Government has established the Future Jobs Fund. 

As part of this scheme, $50 million dollars has been allocated to provide support for businesses through grants with another $70 million dollars available through low interest loans.
Applications are sought from businesses and other non-government organisations for funding grants and or loans to create ongoing jobs in five different sectors and industrial capabilities:
  • Shipbuilding and defence
  • Renewable energy and mining
  • Tourism, food and wine
  • Health and biomedical research
  • IT and advanced manufacturing
Prior to making an application for a grant or low interest loan, please visit the  Future Jobs Fund Guidelines  for full details. Applications for fund grants and loans must be received no later than 29 September 2017.

Applications are now open for Beyond Bank Community Entrepreneur grants. Applications are welcome from businesses and start-ups that  create positive outcomes to benefit the local community by offering employment opportunities and positive social outcomes.
