The website careeronestop.org provides good information for the topic: Job Search for Worker with a Criminal Conviction.

Go to careeronestop.org. Click on "Worker with a Criminal Conviction" (below "Resources For").  The topics include: 
1) State specific resources. 2) Work restrictions that apply to certain convictions. 3) Paying for training or college. The entire section can be downloaded as a PDF (no copyright).

Free Interest Assessment Online
Interest Survey
The website careeronestop.org offers a free interest assessment that provides valuable results. It is the first free online interest assessment that we found that works for students who have low reading levels and regular reading levels. If you know of other free internet interest assessments, please email the website URL to: [email protected]

The interest assessment is 3 pages of 10 easy questions per page that results in about 50 occupations that match the student's interests. Then, the student can narrow the results by education level: Little or no preparation; Some preparation; Medium preparation; High preparation; Extensive preparation. In addition, the results can be narrowed to Best Match, Great Match, and Good Match. 

And last, the student can click on a job to get an entire page of information about the job, short video, and related jobs.

It is estimated that the disability rate in the U.S. population in 2015 was 12.6% that varies greatly by state. The state with the lowest percent of persons with disabilities was Utah at 9.9%; the state with the highest was West Virginia with 19.4%. The rate of employment for persons with disabilities was highest in Wyoming (57.1%) and the lowest was in West Virginia (25.4%).

Explore Careers in Accounting Accounting

The American Institute of CPAs has developed an outstanding website to offer guidance to students interested in careers related to accounting. 

The website offers advice in preparing for college, education options, finding the right college, college internships, and AICPA scholarships. The website also offers several games and tools including Bank On It, Salary Snapshot, Virtual Field Trips, and Pathway to CPA. The website has a Student Edition and Teacher Edition (see upper right corner). Students may arrange to interview a CPA, and teachers may invite a CPA to speak to the class about the job.
