In the spirit of enhancing collaboration in The Trust ecosystem and building upon Connect Miami, our next quarterly provider meetings are going to look and feel a little bit different – join us as we host a potluck and networking session! Kindly RSVP to the area representative for the meeting you’re interested in attending no later than Tuesday, August 8, along with something you’d like to bring to the potluck. We’re looking for breakfast items (enough for 15 people), plates (enough for 25 people), napkins (enough for 25 people), cutlery (enough for 25 people)

Take 10 with The Trust, Tomorrow!
Join us every other Thursday at noon for 10 with The Trust, a new 10-minute talk show broadcast on Facebook Live. We’ll be chatting with other community stakeholders, providers, and children and families who have benefited from our programs. Tomorrow we'll sit down with Jairo Ontiveros, director of education and community engagement at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, to talk about AileyCamp, a nationally recognized full-scholarship summer dance program that's changing its participants lives for the better. Volunteers Needed for The Children's Trust 2017 Family Expo
Our FREE Family Expo is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, and we're looking for volunteers to lend a hand! Taking place on Saturday, September 9, from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition, the event attracts hundreds of child and family services exhibitors sharing vital information with approximately 15,000 visitors. The day is also marked by a slew of fun activities for kids, including interactive games, a robotics room, live musical performances, face painters, and arts and crafts, to name just a few.
As a volunteer, you'll have a great time at the event; receive complimentary lunch, refreshments and snacks; and log in community service hours (if needed). Sign up online at www.thechildrenstrust.org no later than Wednesday, August 30. We look forward to seeing you there!

Parenting (PAR) Data Quality Checks Have Been Completed
As part of our efforts to ensure data accuracy, The Trust has just completed data quality checks for all parenting (PAR) programs. Please note that these are NOT formal reviews, but another way for us to make sure we’re working with the most up-to-date and accurate information possible. Contract managers will be emailing providers these reports, along with a step-by-step guide to help identify and correct any data errors. Remember, your SAMIS data must be corrected by August 15!

SPARK Training
A SPARK training will be held on Friday, August 18, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at Tamiami Park, 11200 SW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33165. If your agency implements SPARK for its summer or school year programming, the staff member who delivers your SPARK curriculum should attend. This session will include activities for children with disabilities. Registration is required; reserve your spot via our community calendar. - Case Manager For the navigational case management of participants in the Department of Labor’s re-entry program, an initiative to help justice-involved young adults (ages 18-24) in high-crime/high-poverty communities obtain better jobs. Responsibilities include preparation of individual career and development plans, and case management. Must possess minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field (master’s preferred) and three years’ experience in counseling and case management.
- Instructor - Part-Time For the organization’s Guiding the Path to Success program. Responsibilities include creating a positive, enriching academic environment; working independently with scholars; assisting with daily homework; administering assessment testing; following daily activity schedule; maintaining a clean, safe area; and attending necessary trainings. Must be a high school graduate and possess basic computer skills and bilingual fluency (English/Creole or English/Spanish). Must also obtain Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
- Job Developer/Employment Specialist To provide meaningful employment opportunities to eligible participants of the Department of Labor’s re-entry program. Responsibilities include providing support to program participants in developing/navigating career pathways; workforce activities leading to apprenticeship, work experience and employment placement; linking participants to employers; and engaging employers/industry partners to support participants' advancement. Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration or related degree preferred, as well as two years’ experience delivering employability training.
- Program Manager To maintain operational responsibility implementing the Department of Labor’s re-entry program, helping justice-involved young adults (ages 18-24) re-enter the labor market. responsibilities include day-to-day program management; overseeing contracts and documentation; monitoring performance; coordinating program staff; and ensuring that objectives and outcomes are met while maintaining compliance. Minimum bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and two years’ experience in restorative justice, offender services or related field required.
