Chicago Botanic Garden, Glencoe  
Learn to cook with garden-fresh ingredients as noted chefs prepare recipes in the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden's open-air amphitheater. Seating is first-come, first-served at 1:30 and 2:30 pm. Among this month's chefs are Nicole Pederson from Found Kitchen and Social House/The Barn and Michael Elliot from Hearth.

North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, Skokie
For more than forty years, Robert Klein has entertained audiences and he continues to have an acclaimed career in comedy, on Broadway, on television, and in film. Don't miss this one-night only performance of one of the country's favorite comedians. Tickets are $32-$48. Showtime is 8 pm.

Make a date to visit markets in Downton Evanston (Saturdays through 11/4), Glencoe (Saturdays through 10/14), Skokie (Sundays through 11/5) and Northbrook (Wednesdays through 10/11).
