Daylight isn't the only thing that lasts longer during summer!
The Contra Costa County
Clerk-Recorder's office is open late on Thursday nights all summer.
Every Thursday from July 6 to
August 31
, the County Clerk-Recorder's Office (555 Escobar Street in Martinez), will be open from 8 am to 7:30 pm, three hours later than the usual closing time.
Summer can be a good time to get basic paperwork in order, like getting their children's birth certificates for school or documents for travel.
Other services available during extended hours at the office include the issuance of marriage licenses, copies of records like birth and death certificates, copies of recorded documents, fictitious business name statements and other filings.
Marriage ceremonies will also be available by appointment and walk-ins will be accommodated if possible.
