Opening of New Communities Fast Approaching
Gardant is scheduled to open three new communities in the coming months.
Belvedere Senior Housing is an affordable assisted living community that is being developed near I-65 and Rte. 30 in Merrillville, Indiana.
White Oaks at McHenry is an assisted living memory care community that is specially designed to serve older adults with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia.
Affordable assisted living communities managed by Gardant recently opened in Chicago and Minooka, Illinois, and in Hammond, Indiana. We also began moving residents into the expansion of the Heritage Woods of Huntley assisted living community, which included the addition of memory care to the campus.
Affordable assisted living communities that will be managed by Gardant are under construction in Bloomington, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Lafayette, Michigan City, Muncie and New Albany, Indiana.

Remember to Take the Heat Seriously
Older adults are among those most vulnerable to the high heat and humidity levels of summer.
Tips for coping include avoiding heavy meals and alcohol; staying in air conditioned buildings as much as possible; drinking plenty of water; and wearing light-weight, light-colored and loose-fitting clothing. It also is important to know the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Older adults who need a place to cool off during heat emergencies can seek a nearby Cooling Center or can visit a Gardant affordable assisted living community.
