Yarmouth's 52nd Annual Clam Festival draws as many as 100,000 visitors to town - and it supports local businesses and nonprofits alike. Help us prep, make, and serve tasty food to festival attendees the third weekend in July. This is a great chance to have fun with your friends, enjoy the summer days, and help raise money for the church.



In order to make Clam Fest a success, we need to have  149 shifts  (or tasks) filled.  Thank you to those who have signed up so far and have gotten us almost half-way there.  If you haven't yet taken a shift, or you're able to sign up for more, please do so now!

JAM JARS NEEDED FOR HOLIDAY FAIR
Jam season has arrived with the first strawberry picking! I make LOTS of jams and jellies to sell at the Holiday Fair, and am very happy to reuse/recycle empty jars you may have lying around on your shelves...(or that you see at yard sales!) 8 or 4 ounce glass official jam jars only please. Anything you would like to contribute, just leave in the church kitchen in a paper bag or box with my name on it. Thanks very much. - Joy Ahrens ( jahrens1@maine.rr.com)

Yes, the church year is over, but there are ways you can still stay connected, participate in justice work, and nourish your spirit. While we break from our worship services, our mission to explore, embrace, engage and be spiritual seekers, continue. (Written specifically for First Uers!)

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Youth Awareness Summer Series at Freeport Church 7 is for high school aged youth with a goal of raising awareness and having an open dialogue on these important topics. July 1 focuses on Housing and Food Insecurity, July 29 on Community Mental Health and Suicide Awareness, and August 19 on Teen Dating Violence. There will also be refreshments and live music.
On July 29, the Youth Awareness Summer Series includes a friendly singing competition for teens. Winners receive prizes between $25 - $100. To compete, submit a video of you singing by July 14 to AsYouAreFP7@gmail.com. Those selected will be contacted with further details.
