Frisco Chamber Update
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce will now have a section in the Frisco Enterprise on the last Friday of each month. We will bring you business news, event updates, and advocacy efforts! New Teacher Welcome
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce will welcome approximately 500 new Frisco Independent School District teachers and staff at the New Teacher Welcome on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. The New Teacher Welcome is presented by CoServ.

100 Days of Progress in Motion
At the State of the City Luncheon, Mayor Jeff Cheney announced  "100 Days of Progress in Motion", which includes a new video topic every day for 100 consecutive days.  You can view the videos HERE.

Governmental Affairs Committee Meeting
The Governmental Affairs Committee will not have meetings during the summer; however, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce will continue to monitor the Texas Legislature Special Session and advocate for a healthy business environment in North Texas.

Department of Labor's Apprenticeship USA Program
DOL's Registered Apprenticeship program is a structured occupational training program that combines on-the-job training and related instruction, in which workers learn the practical and conceptual skills required for a skilled occupation, craft or trade. In the past, apprenticeships have been stereotyped as blue color occupations or unionized jobs only. A registered apprenticeship is more than just a blue collar position, with over 1,000 different occupations, Registered Apprenticeships can be created in several industries such as: Health Care, Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Information Technology, Hospitality, Geospatial, Biotechnology, Aerospace, Transportation, Finance, Agriculture, etc. More Info...
Serve on a City Board?
Interested in getting more involved with your city? The City of Frisco is looking for volunteers to serve on several city boards and commissions. This year, applications are only accepted online, via the new portal HERE.

Opportunities include serving on the city's Board of Adjustment/Construction Board of Appeals, the Community Development Corporation, the Downtown Advisory Board and more. Click the 'Vacancies' tab on the online portal to see the full list.

To qualify, you must have lived in Frisco for at least one year prior to applying and must be a qualified registered voter. Applications will be accepted through July 31, 2017.

Frisco Rotary Farmers Market
The Frisco Rotary Farmers Market meets every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (or sell out). The Farmers Market is located in the parking lot behind the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.  Open May through October 21, 2017.
Young Professionals
This SPECIAL Career Ladder Series is intended for Young Professionals and is sponsored by Frisco Young Professionals, a program of Frisco Chamber of Commerce bringing the combination of the Career Ladder Institute and also featuring Larry D.
