Welcome Back, Educators!
We hope you had a wonderful summer break and were able to do all the things that "fill your bucket" and make you feel whole. As we gear up for the first bell, we hope you're as excited as we are to kick off the 2017-18 school year!

Watch this special video welcome from Superintendent Tom Boasberg and Deputy Superintendent Susana Cordova.

Get Ready for the Solar Eclipse!
We know you may have questions about this big event so here's what we've shared with principals: To prepare for the solar eclipse on Aug. 21, solar eclipse glasses will be distributed on Aug. 15 at the end of Teal Day professional learning at North High School. Each secondary science teacher attending the professional learning will receive 50 pairs of glasses. Elementary schools may send a representative to North at 4 p.m. to pick up 140 pairs of glasses per schools. In addition, for solar eclipse safety viewing tips from NASA, please click here.

And be sure to check out Teacher Weekly below for important resources and great opportunities to make the most of the year ahead. We've tweaked the format to try to make it easier to quickly scan and see what might be of interest to you! Share your feedback at [email protected]
