Christ Covenant School is a community that loves, educates, and equips our students to transform the world for Jesus Christ.

|
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV

Robert Lee Head of School |
Moving forward into 2017-18 the Lord has wonderful things in store for Christ Covenant School. We know that because of His character and because of His promise in Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you...plans to give you a hope and a future."
Plans are vitally important to our future, and our board has taken the last six months to complete our Strategic Plan for Christ Covenant School, which outlines the goals and objectives for our school to become more excellent in offering Christian Classical education to Eastern North Carolina. This plan focuses on Academic Excellence, Student Development, Community Outreach, Marketing, and Communications throughout our spheres of influence. We believe this plan combines the wisdom of our community stakeholders who served on the committees with the wisdom of God in praying for His will and His plans for our school.
As we begin the new school year next week, I am more excited than ever about the future God has for our school. I am excited because of His faithfulness in the past. I am encouraged by the quality teachers and families He has brought to our school. And ultimately, I am confident in His character and promises expressed to us through His Word. These sources assure us of a hopeful future together.
My prayer is that your plans for your family and your children more and more align with His plans for His Family and His Children as we serve together for His Kingdom. We will be sharing many of those plans both at the Open House
Monday and through the Strategic Plan that our board has developed for the school.
We are looking forward to a great year.

Friday - CCS Logo & T-shirt Days |
Beginning this year, we'll be trying out Friday CCS LogoT-shirt and Jeans Days! If you don't have a CCS logo t-shirt, you can order one through our online store. These days will be designated on the school calendar. We are trying something new this year as a special treat to our students and faculty and as a way to show school spirit each week! Remember to diligently follow our guidelines.
If you decide not to participate in CCS Logo T-shirt/Jeans day, the normal dress guidelines apply. You are also permitted to wear jeans skirts or shorts provided the length requirements specified in the family handbook have been followed.
No holes, cuts, tears in any clothing and our regular shoe guidelines still apply.

Junior Kindergarten - First Week |
To ensure the safety of our young students, JK students must be walked into the building (either into the front school hallway or to the classroom) for the first 1 1/2 weeks of school. JK students may begin using the morning carpool drop off after the first 1 1/2 weeks of school.
|
Visitors on Campus |
This year's Family Handbook includes a requirement for students to obtain written permission from the Head of School or Lower School Principal prior to receiving visits from friends during the school day (i.e., lunch). In order to obtain written permission, parents should e-mail Mr. Robert Lee, [email protected] for Upper School visits or Dr. Tessie Guidry, [email protected] for Lower School visits. With the start of public school beginning later in August, we want to ensure parents and students understand that unapproved/unannounced visitors will not be granted permission to visit during lunch or other times during the day without prior approval.

Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and 1st Grade Concerts |
Heads up!
This year, we have changed the times for our Lower School annual concerts (Lessons & Carols and Spring Concert). We will be holding the JK, K and 1st grade concert at 8:00 a.m. on December 7 (Lessons and Carols) and May 10 (Spring Concert). We'll hold the concerts for grades 2 -6 on those same dates but the concerts will begin in the evening at 7:00 p.m. We hope this schedule will help the families of our younger students who have earlier bedtimes.

Lower School No Parking Zone |
Lower School Parking: Please remember the parking in the front circular drive of Christ Presbyterian Church is reserved for church personnel. The church has been gracious enough to share their building with us and only have a few reserved spaces for their use. Please be mindful of this as we enter the new school year.
