A night of stars under the stars honoring legendary Chicago artists and cultural institutions with live performances and tributes, this year's Fifth Star Honorees are Common, Jeanne Gang, Kerry James Marshall and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. The free public event will feature a concert by an all-star Chicago lineup including Dee Alexander, JC Brooks, Sam Trump, Nora O'Connor, Toronzo Cannon, Kelly Hogan and others. More information at

The 59th Annual Chicago Air & Water Show presented by Shell
The Chicago Air and Water Show presented by Shell Oil Products will soar across the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, August 19 & 20, 10am to 3pm daily. Strong in tradition, the free admission event is one of the largest events of its kind, featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs, the F-35 Heritage Flight and the F-22 Demonstration Team. Riverwalk Music Cruise
August 8
Starts at Island Party Hut and ends at the River Theatre
Watch and listen to a Chicago band as they travel on Island Party Hut's tiki boat, stopping along the Riverwalk for various performances. The fun begins at Island Party Hut's dock and will travel up the river with a final stop at the River Theatre from 7:30-8:30pm.
