The Clock Is Ticking

A Note From Pastor Linda

"So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." - Psalm 90:12

Dear Friends in Christ,

Can you believe that we turn the calendar to August today? Where has the summer gone? At Hosanna we are busy planning for the Fall and the 2017-18 program year. Registration OPENS today for connect360- our Wednesday evening Faith Formation - click here to register. There are so many opportunities to participate and volunteer-be sure to stay connected with us!

Time- it seems the older you get, the faster time goes. When I was in elementary school, time seemed to crawl at a snail's pace. Now, not only do years go by quickly, but so do entire decades! I remember my grandparents telling me this and I never understood it as a child, but now I do. I read an interesting feed about what "time" it is in your life, depending on your age that got me thinking about what "time" it was in my life. They shared, if you are
  • 15, the time is 10:25 A.M.
  • 20, the time is 11:34 A.M.
  • 25, the time is 12:42 P.M.
  • 30, the time is 1:51 P.M.
  • 35, the time is 3:00 P.M.
  • 40, the time is 4:08 P.M.
  • 45, the time is 5:15 P.M.
  • 50, the time is 6:25 P.M.
  • 55, the time is 7:34 P.M.
  • 60, the time is 8:42 P.M.
  • 65, the time is 9:51 P.M.
  • 70, the time is 11:00 P.M.

I don't know where that puts you, but for me it's a little after 8 P.M. - and that REALLY got me thinking... because I usually go to bed around 10:00 P.M.! Seriously, time is passing by so quickly. Let's take the counsel of Scripture: "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."

What "time" is it for you, and what would you like to do before "midnight"?

Good Night! (I Mean WAKE UP!)

 ~Pastor Linda

PS- Coming in November 2017:   3rd Chapter of LIFE Retreat- finding a NEW way
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. ~John 10.10
Perhaps you've finished building your career... Maybe you've recently retired or just beginning to think about it... Or the children you've raised have left or are beginning to leave the nest. Each of these scenarios, and many more, represents a transitional and potentially transformational period in life, the turning of a page, the beginning of a NEW chapter in life- the 3rd Chapter. It is a time that you might find yourself asking, "What's next?". This period offers both opportunity and challenges. It is a time to renew and refocus. What does this time mean in God's time?

Green Earth Team Plant Sale and Fundraiser

A huge THANK YOU from Hosanna's GET for again supporting our annual plant sale and the community fundraiser through Forest Lake Floral.  Because of you, we filled 31 plant sale orders, and recorded 17 transactions at the Floral & Garden Center.  Between the two events, the GET was able to net over $830 in proceeds, which will be used to promote the efforts of Hosanna to be a Green congregation and community.  Thank you again for your generous support. We will continue in our quest to be Good Stewards of God's Creation!

Hospitality Team

We are currently looking for people that would be willing and excited to join a Hospitality Team! This would be a fabulous opportunity to get involved monthly with your church and to have something to look forward to with your entire family! If you are interested, please contact Kelsey here.
