MRI Device Could Bridge Neuro-Technologies for Medical Diagnostics, Increase Safety
A technology being developed at  Purdue University  could provide an affordable, smart, self-learning device that, when placed into existing MRI machines could allow medical professionals to monitor patients more effectively and safely, by performing concurrent medical imaging and recording for diagnostic purposes.
The traditional Japanese art of origami transforms a simple sheet of paper into complex, three-dimensional shapes through a very specific pattern of folds, creases, and crimps.  Folding robots  based on that principle have emerged as an exciting new frontier of robotic design, but generally require onboard batteries or a wired connection to a power source, making them bulkier and clunkier than their paper inspiration and limiting their functionality. 
Supercapacitors are in high demand for applications including electric cars, wireless telecommunications and high-powered lasers.
But to realize these applications, supercapacitors need electrodes that are both quicker and cheaper to make on a large scale and also able to charge and discharge their electrical load faster. 
AI & Automation Won't Kill Work
The hype around artificial intelligence (AI) and automation is alive and well.
