A special guest came to help celebrate Julie Desa's birthday |
Laughter, coffee, scripture, and singing rolled through the LPA campus August 2nd and 3rd. Lake Pointe staff and faculty utilized these two days of teacher inservices to finish up preparations for the 2017-2018 school year. Grade level teams were able to refresh and unite on policies and procedures, and faculty across the grades were able to comment and critique first drafts of the school handbook. And yet, the ladies and men of LPA still found time to have fun as birthdays were celebrate and stories were shared.

Summer was tossed off with the chicken at the secondary first day picnic. After a day of meeting teachers, starting classes, and learning or relearning the ins and outs of a LPA school day, the secondary students, staff, and family members gathered at Westminster Park for a time to socialize and play games. For more details, visit the Info & News section of the website.
Teacher Mania
The first Friday Student Life event created the time and space for teachers and students to connect with intentional conversations. Gathered around tables with pizza and treats, teachers and students asked and answered prepared questions that ranged from fun and wishful to more personal questions. Tables then turned into teams as during a teacher-focused trivia game, Teacher Mania. For more details of the event, visit
the Info & News page on the website.
Solar Eclipse Glasses
There are still a few NASA approved solar eclipse glasses on sale at Lake Pointe for $1. Stop by the front desk if you'd like to buy some.
