This is about the time of year we all begin making our conference and training plans for winter and next spring/summer. In 2014, the National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center (NSTTAC) at Western Michigan University developed a toolkit for transition fairs that is absolutely packed with ideas and planning tips.
While the tips and tools within the kit are designed for post-secondary transition, you might find they spark ideas and plans for other types of training and conferences as well. Likewise, there are ideas to involve youth through activities like mock interviews, and ideas on how to pull off a successful event in a rural area.
