AUGUST  2017
President's Message
Dear Fabulous Coaches,

I hope you are well and enjoying the Summer -

There are so many who made July an inspiring month!  Thanks to Susan Ginsberg-O'Sullivan for arranging our July 11th Summer Social location and selecting the wine, and to Amy Bloustine for the delicious food, and to the rest of the ICF Board for all of their efforts - it was a fun time!  Many of the more than 60 attendees joined us for the first time - it was so nice to welcome them!

Thanks to Tom Johnston for hosting our first CoachCafe! Brooklyn!  Tom is pictured below with his participants.  It's wonderful to build community across NY and looking forward to supporting more local events. Interested in hosting a group in your neighborhood?  Email me and we'll get you going!

Our Association of Talent Development NYC Chapter partnership yielded two wonderful July events. The Intro to Evidence Based Coaching workshop on July 19th was quite successful.   And, our sold-out July 20th event with Clive Leach's Positive Psychology presentation was powerful. Lots of good conversation, wine and nibbles for the ATD and ICF participants.  A special thanks to ATD's Angela Wright for her generous spirit and collaboration with ICF NYC. We plan to grow our joint offerings!

Event Space - Do you have access to space that will hold a minimum of 50?  please email me with your ideas for a future event location.

Upcoming Events - Join us on August 8th for John Mattone's: On-line Masterclass in Executive Coach Development, hosted by ICF Virginia Chapter. Click here to learn more and register. And, Save the Date for September 14th, our next live event at LHH offices, 230 Park Ave.

Welcome new members! Our newest 18 members are listed below - please join me in welcoming them.  Wendy Mantel, PCC and Director of Membership will be following up with you.

Congratulations to our newest credential holders listed below. Five ACCs and one PCC achieved in July. And a special shout out to Bernie Feinberg for earning his PCC!  Congrats on your continued professional growth and Chapter support.

And to our Chapter members - we thank you for your continued support - please reach out with your ideas and needs - our volunteer Board Members are dedicated to your professional growth.

That's all for now - wishing you good times, fun and success!

With gratitude,

Margaret

The ICF Global Communities of Practice (CPs) are virtual groups of coaches interested in a specific topic area. These communities are designed to provide a platform for sharing best practices, emerging trends, tools and tips among ICF Members to advance their professional development.

ICF Converge 2017, scheduled for August 24 - 26, 2017 in Washington, DC (USA), is ICF's first large-scale global event since 2012. This first-of-its-kind global event is designed to strengthen connections within the coaching community and offer cutting-edge learning opportunities. Registration for ICF Converge 2017 is now open at ICFConverge.com.

The ICF Reciprocal Peer Coaching program creates opportunities for professional growth and is accessible to all ICF Members.  By coaching an ICF coach, you can receive coaching from another ICF coach. In addition to investing your time in offering coaching and being coached, you will only need to pay a nominal coordination fee for the program to match you with a coach and client and to monitor each reciprocal peer-coaching relationship.
