Anat Gerstein, Inc. Announces Appointment of
Joanne King as Senior Vice President
 
Anat Gerstein, Inc. today announced the appointment of Joanne King as Senior Vice President of the New York City-based firm, which specializes in providing the nonprofit sector with strategic communications and public relations services in New York City.
 
King assumes her new post today. P rior to joining Ana t G erstein,  Inc. she was Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Institute for Children, Poverty and Homelessness, a policy and research organization that works on the causes and impacts of family homelessness. Prior to that, she was Director of Communications for Queens Library, one of the nation's busiest library systems.

As Senior Vice President at Anat Gerstein, Inc., King will help mission-driven clients achieve their strategic communications goals across a variety of channels, including traditional and social media, donor communications , thought leadership, executive positioning, and messaging and outreach targeted to informing and engaging target audiences.

King brings long experience in strategic communications. During her time with Queens Library, s he worked on the library's branding strategy, successful advocacy campaigns, publicity, and helped publicize its many outstanding programs and services, including winning dozens of local, national and international awards for excellence. 
 
She is a volunteer with UJA-Federation New York's Management Assistance Program, and has served as a pro bono consultant to dozens of nonprofit agencies.  Other professional assignments have included public relations for industrial equipment manufacturers, real estate and travel accounts.    She is a life-long New Yorker and a graduate of CUNY-Brooklyn College.
