"welcome", Linnea Lagerstrom

Linnea Lagerstrom is new to the Habitat staff, but she's not new to the service of Habitat's mission.  In 2015, while attending UC San Diego and pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Lingustics (she speaks 4 languages), she volunteered as Habitat's community engagement intern, assisting countless volunteers in finding opportunities on Habitat construction sites, in the administrative office, and in the ReStore.  After a study abroad semester in Germany, where she traveled Europe and soaked up international culture, she returned home to Habitat, this time serving in an AmeriCorps position, again helping thousands of volunteers as the Volunteer Coordinator.  During her AmeriCorps service year, she also established a successful youth program for 5 to 13 year-olds that incorporates education, fundraising, service and reflection.  Now she joins the official ranks of Team Habitat as the Development Officer, where she manages annual fund activities and works closely with Habitat's corporate partners, engaging and stewarding them in their support of Habitat's mission.  We couldn't be happier that Linnea has chosen to continue her work here at Habitat, and we encourage you to contact her to schedule your corporate team-building day!  You can reach Linnea at linnea.lagerstrom@sandiegohabitat.org.
you don't have to swing a hammer to build a home

The Habitat ReStores in Mission Valley, Escondido, and National City offer many volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups.  We'll find the task that is perfect for you!

Whether it's an entire day or just a few hours, one person, or a large group, the ReStore is a great place for volunteers to help support affordable housing efforts!  Proceeds from the ReStore help build homes right here in San Diego County!

Volunteers can assist in the following ways:
Assisting truck driver on donation pickup routes
Assisting ReStore customers
Organizing and merchandising donations
Administrative tasks
Light construction projects

For more details about ReStore volunteer opportunities, please visit our website!  We'll see you in the ReStore soon!
