Your tax dollars at work: A weekly update on bond/override/construction
activity at SUSD schools. Check out what we're up to this week.
Scottsdale Unified School District | Bond Update 8/11/17

Thank you for signing up for weekly updates on bond & override projects within SUSD. We are committed to transparency through this process, and we welcome your feedback. Like you, we can't wait to see our new schools go up and our existing schools improve.
WEEKLY PROGRESS

On Monday, August 7,  students returning to Cheyenne saw big changes in the works. The new front parking lot is complete, and fences are in place around areas still under construction. A safety tunnel gives students safe passage through the work zone. South playground and court construction is underway and should be complete by August 21. Visit  bond.susd.org for a map of the work in progress at Cheyenne .

On Wednesday, August 9,  we learned the tentative construction timeline for Hohokam. Fences will go up on that campus next May, with vertical construction set for the summer of 2018. New school buildings are expected to open the following summer (2019).

On Thursday, August 10,  the Governing Board voted to approve two different options for the front facade for Hopi, one with brick and one without, pending a vote by the Hopi Rebuild Committee.

Also this week,  we're seeing green again - this time at Saguaro! The turf is down, and the new field is taking shape.
