AUGUST NEWSLETTER

f                             FUNDING UPDATE

We have received notice that the federal grant that currently funds Collective STEP For Youth   will end two years early, with all grantees receiving funding this program year (July 2017-June 2018) but no funding past the end of this year. Collective STEP is now revising plans to continue providing capacity-building services in the adolescent wellbeing realm during the final year and beyond the grant period.

COALITION NEWS

Thank you for an outstanding turn out at the August 2 nd coalition meeting.  Many thanks to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix for hosting!

Given modifications to the grant period, Chair Tyre Davis presented a proposal from the Steering Committee on a new direction for Work Groups (WGs).  The coalition supported moving forward with two WGs that focus on 1) sustaining the coalition and 2) building an online hub of resources.  This dual focus aligns with the coalition vision: that youth will have information and resources needed to gain important life skills and successfully transition into adulthood.  We know there's much we can accomplish together this year and beyond!

Please consider joining us for action planning on the future of the coalition.
