On June 27, 110 individuals from 40 organizations gathered together at the Odle Middle School in Bellevue for the first Eastside Racial Equity Summit to align existing equity initiatives, deepen individual understanding and commitment to the work, and to set forth a common regional goal towards a more equitable Eastside.

The Pacific Educational Group held a regional summit in Bellevue for the first time on June 27-28. The community from around the Northwest engaged in a deepened conversation about systemic racism and its impact on opportunity and achievement for all people.

Stanford Social Innovation Review.
In the three-part series, the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions, FSG, and PolicyLink share perspectives on the importance of embedding an explicit focus on equity throughout any collective impact effort.
For long-lasting, effective change, collaborative efforts must fully engage diverse community voices.
Leaders must be steadfast in their efforts to achieve results that advance equity-just and fair inclusion into a society in which all can participate, prosper, and reach their full potential.
The five conditions of collective impact, implemented without attention to equity, are not enough to create lasting change.
