We are heartbroken by the tragic death of Lost Hills Station Reserve Deputy Jacob Castroll who was injured while competing in the World Police & Fire Games.

The 68-year-old reserve deputy was competing in a downhill mountain bike event when he was thrown from his bike. Paramedics took him to Henry Mayo Newhall at approximately 9:30 AM where he passed away.
Jacob was an avid bicyclist in his free time who participated in numerous Police Unity Tours.
Reserve Deputy Castroll was well-known throughout the department.
