Keep the Kids Safe & Secure as They Head  Back to School 
It's back to school time, and while students are excited (or not!), parents may be worried about a variety of things that the school year can bring. The city of Glendale offers resources to help families with some of these issues, from getting to and from school safely to after-school activities.

YOUTH KICKBALL LEAGUES
Register through Sept. 1
The playground standard is back and better than ever! Your child, ages 3-5 or 6-8 will have a blast in this league, promoting physical fitness, social and skill development, and participation for all. Games begin Sept. 30, and will be held at Kachina Elementary School, 5304 W. Crocus Dr. ($55 resident/$75 non-resident)

Teddy Bear Day

Historic Downtown Glendale

What could be more awesome than the most beary special day of the year in Historic Downtown Glendale? Enjoy a fun-filled day of make-and-take arts and crafts, special treats and exclusive deals in Historic Downtown Glendale on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Glendale Visitor Center, Bears & More and Gracie's Marketplace will be selling safety approved bears to distribute to local Trauma Teddy programs, first responders and emergency rooms.

Mexican Folk Dance Class
