School Supply Drive for CCS
Please bring all items to school by Wednesday, August 23

O'Hara is thrilled to be partnering with Catholic Community Services of Lane County again this year to collect school supplies. If you would like to help CCS help kids in our community start the school year off with the tools they need, we invite you to participate by picking up a few extra items when you are out shopping for your supplies. Donations can be dropped off at O'Hara during our summer office hours (Tues - Thurs, 8am - 11am). Click HERE to view their wish list. Thank you for your generosity!

Middle School Sports Physical Reminder
Required for all athletes.

We recommend that parents schedule summer appointments for sports physicals for any students that might want to participate in middle school sports this school year. Students in grades 7-8 are eligible to play volleyball, basketball and track. Students in grade 6 will be eligible to participate on the track team in the spring. Students will not be permitted to participate in practice or competition without a sports physical on file in the front office. Due to our liability insurance, there can be no exceptions made to this rule. Click HERE to download the required form.

O'Hara's new SLEs
At O'Hara... we RISE UP

O'Hara's Schoolwide Learning Expectations , or SLEs, represent what each student should know, understand, and be able to do upon graduating from our school. The SLEs define for us the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional behaviors and attitudes that an O'Hara student will develop throughout his or her time here.

As a school community, we worked diligently last year to rewrite our SLEs so that they are more accessible and tangible for all students.   With input from teachers, administrators, the School Advisory Council, and students, we developed a new structure for our SLEs. The same fourteen expectations that were previously included in our SLEs are still present in our new language. However, we feel that our new SLE structure will help all students, from PreSchool through Eighth grade, better understand and live our values each and every single day. If we live our values, as articulated below, we will achieve our motto of "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve."
