A Message from our Pastor
I came home from vacation to find that my garden is overgrown with weeds. I thought I had left it in pretty good order, but two weeks of neglect combined with rain and good growing conditions were just what the weeds wanted to take over. Our spiritual life is rather like that. We think we are in a good place, but if we do not tend it with worship and prayer and Bible reading, the "weeds" of life take over. Soon we are busy, too busy to tend our souls. The daily challenges of life nibble away at our discipleship. Why do I feel so discontented, we wonder. Why am I out of sorts with myself, my family? Start pulling those weeds! Make space in your life for God's graces to grown again.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Galatians 5:22-23

Looking for a Spanish to English Translator
On Sunday, September 10, we will be hosting a guest from Cuba as part of the Presbytery's Cuba Partnership. Elder Xiamara Areneas will present a Minute for Missions during both worship services and will be available during Coffee Hour to answer questions about our Cuba Partnership.
If you are able to act as a translator for her and would like to volunteer, please contact Pastor Neta.

Healing Service
Beginning in August there will be a healing service once a month (usually the third Sunday of the month). We will meet in the Sanctuary after the worship service for a time of quiet, of prayer, of anointing with oil, and of communion. Healing is not cure and it takes many forms, often addressing deep spiritual issues. If you wish prayers for yourself or for others, come and join us on August 20.
