TEXTBOOK/CLASSROOM INFORMATION
Order Textbooks
Click
here for the updated Textbook list. Please note the following on the textbook list:
- In the first column, "R" is for Regular and "H" is for Honors and "AP" is for Advanced Placement.
- In the Last column "choice" means purchase either the e-book or the textbook.
- (Blue highlighted columns) can ONLY be purchased through Follett.
- US History is the same as American History.
- Textbook information needed for Polk State dual enrollment courses will be given by the professor.
Follett Rental
If you rent a textbook through Follett, it is their practice to set the rental return date as the last day of school. Families will need to "check-in" their books online by that date and then they can return them to Follett as soon as the final tests are completed.
English Classes
The English classes will be using digital curriculum materials again this year. Materials for all regular and honors English classes will be delivered, completed, and submitted online. Rather than purchasing a textbook, each student in a
regular or honors class
is required to pay a materials fee for English for the 2017-2018 school year.
The fee is $45.00 per student.
Payment is due by August 14, 2017
.
Dual Enrollment Classes
All students scheduled to take any dual enrollment with Polk State will need to take the PERT test. Students who have already taken the SAT or ACT test may be exempt from the PERT test if their scores are high enough. Please contact Polk State at (863) 297.1000 to either set up the PERT test or confirm that you are exempt from taking it. Registration for all dual enrollment courses will be done at Santa Fe.

School Supplies
Santa Fe does not publish a complete school supply list for all courses; however, you will see below information for Algebra I and II. Computer Recommendations
All students are required to have a laptop.
Students purchasing new computers do not need to purchase Microsoft Office. Santa Fe provides each student with an Office 365 account.
Name brands such as Dell, Toshiba, Apple, Microsoft, etc., tend to have the best reliability and customer support.
One system that blends the best of both a tablet and a laptop is the Microsoft Surface 3 or 4. It utilizes a keyboard cover that allows it to function as a laptop, but this cover can also be folded back and allows the device to be used as a tablet. It has a touchscreen and runs the full version of the Windows operating system.
Chromebooks are not recommended.
